The Best of O'Henry: Over 100 Stories Including the Gift of the Magi and the Furnished Room
Published in Hardcover by Bdd Promotional Book Co (March, 1990)
Author: O. Henry
Average review score:

A Great Collection from a Great Author
With over 100 short stories from America's most popular short story writer, this is ideal for an O'Henry fan, a fan of excellently crafted short stories, a person who appreciates fine writing or just someone who wants a great read.

It contains not only arguably his most well known works - "the Gift of the Magi" and "the Furnished Room" but tales from South of the Border, small town stories, shady business tales, stories of crooks and con artists, tales set in the Wild West and busy city streets. They can make you laugh, weep and feel the strings of romance sound in your heart.

Even if you've not read his work since high school, you will be enchanted by the way the stories have held up over the years - a work of a true master.

There are many collections of O'Henry on the market - this is one of, if not, the best I've seen. I recommend this book very highly.

Good Things in Small Packages
This tiny paperback has taught me more in a couple of hours than I would have got from many days slogging through the typical five pound monsters offered to teach MS Office apps. I just love it! His step by step simple directions for working with mail merge alone justify the purchase. This is a simply wonderful book! I hope he keeps writing them!

Why buy this book?
This particular edition of the Bible called "Experiencing God" has been such a blessing to my life, not only it for the way it shows how to open our hearts and souls to what God can, is, and will be doing in our lives. What makes this Bible so recomendable are the footnotes, which not only guide you, but show you how He can be real in your life.

A Bibliography of Printing: With Notes and Illustrations: 3 Volumes in 1
Published in Hardcover by Oak Knoll Books (December, 2001)
Authors: E. C. Bigmore, C. W. H. Wyman, and Henry Morris
Average review score:

With hundreds of original woodcuts
The original three volumes comprising E.C. Bigmore and C.W.H. Wyman's monumental classic, A Bibliography Of Printing were published from 1880 to 1886 by the British bookman and publisher, Bernard Quaritch and continue down to the present day as being recognized as a treasure house of information on books dealing with publishing and the printing arts. It was a truly ground-breaking catalogue that quickly established itself as the premier bibliography in this specialized field. The text is beautifully illustrated with hundreds of original woodcuts depicting portraits, printers' marks, topographical scenes, and foliated initials. Bigmore and Wyman's analytical descriptions provided a unique and clarion voice to their well-researched reference book. The one draw back to the 19th century originals was the absence of a comprehensive index. This omission has been corrected with this impressive and outstanding Oak Knoll Press edition with the inclusion of indexes of titles, subjects, and authors. A treasured addition to any dedicated bibliophile collection, A Bibliography Of Printing is an essential, core volume for academic "History Of Publishing" library reference collections as well.

The Big Broadcast 1920-1950
Published in Hardcover by Scarecrow Press (27 November, 1996)
Authors: Frank Buxton, Bill Owen, Henry Morgan, and William Hugh Owen
Average review score:

A Must-Have For the Old-Time Radio Fan
One of the undisputed classic reference works for the old-time radio enthusiast, first published during the original wave of nostalgia over 25 years ago, "The Big Broadcast" lists many network and syndicated radio shows that ran in the timeframe of the 1920's-50s, more commonly referred to as "the golden age of radio". A great source for cast lists (if you can't put a name to a voice) with informative articles on genres and more technical matters (sound effects, "independent" networks, etc.). This type of thorough reference work is usually frustratingly hard to find for the old-time radio. This book has been out of print for years, and when you found a copy of the first edition, you could expect to pay premium prices, especially if the seller knew what he had. The introduction, by radio comedian Henry Morgan (not to be confused with the guy who played Colonel Potter on "MASH"), is a beauty.
